First off - try to keep story spoilers to a minimum please, just locations and activities.

Im about 40 hours or so into starfield, not quite half way through the main story, with a fair bit of time spent just exploring systems and faction quests. My gear is MORE than sufficient for any ground combat, so I’ve dumped most of my credits into a killer starship. C-class power plant in a small maneuverable A class frame loaded with firepower.

The problem is, I can’t really find anyone to fight. Im friendly with just about everyone in the various faction stories so I rarely encounter enemies in space. Are there any regions you can point me to for some good old fashion space combat for fun and profit?

  • Look for “scanner activity” on the system map for random encounters. Some of them are enemy spacer groups.
  • Go to mission boards and look for Tracker missions.
  • Just… hang out in space around a planet without security. The spacers will constantly randomly spawn in and attack you in waves if you’re just hanging around in space, but more likely away from planets like where New Atlantis is.

Thanks for the tips! I completely forgot about the mission boards. That sounds like the best way to specifically take on some space combat missions. I’ll keep an eye out for those scanner activity points too though.

I had a few random ones where a ship was being attacked and i saved them, and another where some random person in one of the generated outposts asked me to go find some pirates in space that kept looting them and kill them
