I’m predicting that Democrats take the wrong message from this and continue to ramp up the anti-China messaging. They’ll say that Trump is weak on China and that he’s Xi’s best friend. Democrats will campaign on doing “real tariffs on China” and libs will say “They have to campaign on this, it’s what most people want”.
Move the goal post every so often. While anyone with a brain calls it cheating, the cult thinks you’ve out-maneuvered everyone else.
His social media tweets aren’t actually policy. No one who is actually supposed to collect tariffs has any idea how much they are supposed to collect nor do they have a way to do so.
