Car insurance isn’t efficient nor effective. It’s a complete ripoff.
Go file a claim, see how much grief they put you through. Every claim I’ve ever made, I’ve had to file a complaint with the state insurance regulators to get my insurance company to reimburse me (and I’ve never been at fault).
Insurance is the problem for both cars and health. They artificially inflate pricing for both, because they get to determine what is paid and at what rates (especially for health care).
It’s why you hear stories of things like tylenol at the hospital being $10 a pill. Since insurance may only reimburse the hospital at 10% of the filed claim, the hospital increases the cost 10x. (It’s more complex that this, it’s why medical coding is a specific job now, finding ways to code things to get sufficiently reimbursed).
Yea, it’s really shitty.
Enterprise folks don’t have this problem because they use the WAIK (or whatever it’s called now) to customize the installer.
Anyone can use it, and from what I’ve read, the Win10 generation of the kit is much easier to use than previous versions (which were pretty bad).
But yea, this stuff is awful.
Checkout things like WinDebloat, Privatezilla, Winaero Tweaker, and LoveWindowsAgain. There’s some overlap between them (as they were built for different purposes), but they all pretty much kill telemetry at the service or installed level (as in remove the components providing telemetry).
Yea, it’s BS you have to do this. And screw MS for this crap.
Yea, fuck him - he’s just an ass.
People who grew up with him can probably attest to this.
Hahahahaha
Unintended consequences - what are they going to do once 90% of connections are encrypted, include use of VPNs and encrypted DNS?
This is what they’re promoting.
Host your own encrypted DNS on a VPS in a non-compliant location, use a VPN to connect to it.
So many ways these idiots are cutting their own throats.
Also, let’s list the companies rather than say “Movie Industry”. Or let that be a link to a Wiki article listing all the companies and their holdings.
Fuck em all at this point. I go to maybe 2 movies a year, at most. And I’m cutting subscription services, down to 2 at this point.
I have a dozen that run 12+ hours a day. I’ve had 1 fail in 5 years.
Don’t buy cheap LEDs, and don’t put them in enclosures that trap heat.
So let me get this straight. It replaces Calibri, but nowhere on the page is a visual comparison of the two.
It seems like something you’d put right at the top.
Streisand strikes again.
What gets me is when websites don’t work on Safari. Really? Like a significant portion of traffic is to iOS, it’s a single browser you have to target, on millions of devices. And you couldn’t even make it work there.
Web dev today is a bunch of crap.
Every device booting from UEFI is vulnerable. It’s neither a Windows nor Linux issue, it’s UEFI.
Because UEFI has Code-execution capability before OS loads. In this case it’s for the logo
