I at least don’t know about a VPN provider offering this which is at the same time trustworthy. Instead, they could kind of DIY it by using for example tailscale. Tailscale would allow for using a device as an exit gate. They’d need a device at a friend’s home that is online when they need it but that’s it. An old phone or a cheap raspberry pi would suffice. Wouldn’t even cost a penny (except for the exit gate device)

Don’t know, but that’s kind of the point. Even “off is off” isn’t entirely true anymore. So I just don’t know what airplane mode exactly does.

If you don’t want to be tracked down afterwards based on your phone’s location, turning it off will suffice.

If you fear to get arrested, you should just leave it at home or somewhere it cannot be found too easily.

Ich habe inzwischen den Eindruck, dass notebooksbilliger die letzten Jahre über massivst nachgelassen hat. Ist nur ein Eindruck - habe länger nichts mehr gekauft, aber zwischendurch durchstöbert.

Ich würde auch noch galaxus.de (CH) anfügen, außerdem Otto (D). Mit beiden habe ich bisher hervorragende Erfahrungen gemacht.
