Cien Men is Lidl only. Aldi has their own line called Ombia Men IIRC, but I don’t know if they still sell 2-blade cartridges under that name. They used to have a good 2-blade cartridge razor that was nice for head shaving, but I don’t know if that one is still available and if it is compatible with Lidl products (most of these cheaper cartridge razor systems are either made by Personna or Dorco, so some are compatible and some unfortunately aren’t).

So, I finally made it to the Lemmy instance. I kinda wonder why I haven’t managed to do so sooner, as it’s much easier to me than Mastodon with its strict 500 character limit. Today’s shave was a quick 1-pass face shave before my late shift at the nursing home. I like the smell of CF GTB a lot and the soap base is, together with Stirling, Noble Otter and Moon’s Union a really fast to dial in good lather. Unfortunately, I really should change the Feather PG into something from KAI again. My face and Feather blades simply won’t get along. Quite a few weepers today. Well, tomorrow’s shave will surely be better!

No, just XTG. The skin on my face is very picky with blades - it seems like the guard on these Feathers doesn’t even exist for me. I also have the unfortunate habit of using too much pressure with light aluminum razors, especially when I’m in a hurry 🤔

Despite the warm weather, I wanted to welcome my favourite month and season with a wonderful autumn/fall scent - what’s better suited than Samhain?!

Samhain is surely one of my absolute favourite scents ever in wetshaving. I don’t know what exactly draws me into it, but the combo is certainly unique. Also, it was one of my first ever high-class artisan soaps so it also holds sentimental value to me.

2 pass shave with the great Ever-Ready today, much more pleasant than yesterday’s SOTD. Only 3 tiny weepers around the moustache area.

Otherwise, a pretty chill day. Had the day off, will start in the late shift again tomorrow. Time for a horror film now!

2 pass face shave that took place before my late shift. What else to use for a cloudy, rainy day than Autumn Glory? It’s a very similar scent to a popular Yankee Candle of the same name and I really enjoy it. I kinda messed up with the fragrance for today, Halloween Man X is more of a treat than a trick. Means it’s much too sweet in contrast to the darker Autumn Glory - but you can’t always get it 100% right.

Streets were nicely empty today, as it’s a public holiday over here. But nursing is a profession that never stops and I get a little bonus for working on holidays…

I’m getting in the unfortunate habit of posting way too late. Anyways, this was actually a single pass WTG head shave - yep, finally did it again. My eczema didn’t take it so well, but whatever. I started to look older than Jason Statham and that man is in his mid-50s…

Today’s scent combo was really going well, both King of Bourbon as well as Riflesso Blue Vibe have a slightly sweet, slightly boozy profile.

Stando’s Perun is slowly becoming my favourite DE - it’s very mild, but with a really sharp blade it could also shine. This Voskhod is more on the mild side, as I hoped this would yield less irritation. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Better luck next time.
