Yes… I honestly wish using and subscribing to tags was a more of a thing, since those are cross-instance, and multiple communities with overlapping topics could just make use of overlapping tags. And they also have the advantage that you can add multiple tags to the same post, no need to repeat the post.

Right now you can visit https://kbin.social/tag/technology/threads and see all threads tagged as technology, cross instance and cross magazine, but you cant subscribe to that (but it should be possible to implement at some point though, Mastodon does it).

There’s also c) have people start using tags like #technology more frequently in their technology related posts, and implement support for subscribing to a tag (that’s something Mastodon already has, so it should be possible).

Tag thread feeds (like https://kbin.social/tag/technology/threads ) show content cross-instance and cross-magazine, and they also have the advantage that you can add multiple tags to the same post, no need to repeat the post to have it appear in multiple tag feeds.

I don’t think Klingon has a K’ anywhere, in fact in Klingon it would be written “Q” and followed by some vowel, like in Qapla’ or in Qi’yaH

Another tip: you can subscribe (or block) based on the domain of the link posted by using /d/<DOMAIN>

This also works using a lemmy/kbin instance as domain like https://kbin.social/d/startrek.website or https://kbin.social/d/ttrpg.network …although it doesn’t really refer to all communications with that instance

That’s still likely a mistransliteration (or maybe because those are proper names), but Klingon has only “q” and “Q” (which depending on the capitalization are pronounced differently, treated as different letters), technically there’s no “K” in the Klingon alphabet, you can see it in the pIqaD:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:KLI_pIqaD.svg

Similar as with the “f” from “Worf”, there wouldn’t be a straight “non-destructive” way to write it in Klingon.

Then maybe discuss the ideas & groups to get them to either explain themselves or expose themselves… instead of calling them “national socialists” when that’s not what they are.

Otherwise why stop at “nazis”? Might as well straight up call them murderers or rapists.

My hope is that deep-faking tech might actually help lower levels of the profession, even if it’s at the expense of those at the top who get huge amounts of money because of how famous their face is.

Imho, Studios don’t even need to copy a famous actor’s face… just create a face of a person who doesn’t exist and make it into a new famous character by stamping it into a good (even if not top famous) actor.

Yes, I think it’s an issue from kglitch.social, when seeing your comment (or other mentions) from there it does not show it as a link:

Moreover, more performance in a portable device is often a trade-off. The board will draw more power, reducing battery life, and it will often generate more heat, requiring more ventilation / fan power which might also further affect battery life (and potentially, its lifespan). You end up paying more for a worse experience, imho.

The new Ayaneo needs a battery that’s more than twice the capacity of the Steam Deck in order to be able to even compare to the Steam Deck in autonomy… if Valve launched a revision of the deck with an updated battery it would be a huge improvement, likely doubling its runtime, it’s much more efficient than the competition in its power usage.

I’d much prefer games start being designed for low spec devices. What I want is more innovative gameplay and interesting mechanics… if the game wastes immense amounts of power for easthetic reasons, it doesn’t make me want to get a portable powerhouse of a console, what it makes me want to do is skip playing that unoptimized game.
