This meme fills me with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

I’m surprised it is only temporary. Looking at the mod log, getting a temp ban or a warning are the rarest forms of mod actions taken across all of Lemmy.

I’d argue that a community named Rule 1 should also include non tanky instance mod/admin actions when they are egregiously bad.

I’ve also been using Loops for about a week and not having any kind of sorting at all other than newest videos first kinda sucks. Having an algorithm is not a bad thing. It’s who controls it and how it suggests things to users that can be bad.

Showing things more relevant to what users have liked, watched all the way/multiple times, and/or engaged with is perfectly fine, as long as you’re not manipulating that to brainwash people or push an agenda.

Get a business account with your ISP and get one of those weird plans that gives you more up speed than down speed.

I thought it was kinda weird that the WISP I worked for has even up and down speeds for most plans. Though they were also twice as expensive as Comcast, but if you were using the WISP it’s because you don’t really have access to anything else.

Uh… No? You get the exact same consumer protections, and you can actually do more with the business account than your standard home internet plan.
