Unfortunately, this proposal is not going to change anything. The market will raise its prices and more money will be siphoned away.

What’s missing in the current housing market is regulations to strictly ensure only humans—not private equity firms—can purchase homes. And if you own more than one home, your property taxes increase for each extra home you own.

I’m sure they could keep the backend and just update the look and UI frontend though, no?

Especially microfiber. It was shown to shed the most fibers of all the plastic-based textiles.

You mean her practiced body language? It was pretty unnatural and sometimes her timing was off which especially gave it away as a performative act.

You’re forgetting that these batteries are going to be cheap because the compounds needed are readily available. This tech is not going to replace every lithium battery out there, but it’s going to give consumers another, more economic choice vs lithium. Plus it’s a safer technology than lithium.

Pressuring Democrats to deliver for the working class is a good thing. Organizing around these issues show them that they’re important and not a liability, but an asset. My guess is they’re taking big insurance money and that’s why they aren’t going to deliver on healthcare save for some very minor changes.

I swear to god if her housing policy doesn’t include banning private equity from purchasing homes, I’m going to be angry.

Also the first time a house speaker has been defeated in their primary in Hawaii history. Her opponent also outspent her 2:1, and had the backing of Senator Brian Schatz, the governor, lieutenant governor, and the mayor. Pretty incredible odds.
