Backups could definitely be improved–currently I keep a cold backup (USB hard drive) at my girlfriend’s place, updated about once a month. I also keep the entire file storage and database synced to my laptop’s (2 TB) SSD; not a backup, I know, but it does give me some peace of mind if my server (rockpro64) ever goes down. I’d love to add an additional hot backup via rsync, but unfortunately rent keeps getting in the way of a new hard drive :(

I’ve got Jellyfin on a cheap ($20/year) VPS, and used SSHFS to attach it to some external hard drives attached to a Raspberry Pi. My upload speed is only 10 mbps, but that seems enough for most movies and TV shows, and multiple users can watch simultaneously via SyncPlay. Transcoding works too (up to 1080p)

Agreed that ChromeOS is a linux distro, weird, but a distro nonetheless! I am curious as to what percentage of ChromeOS users have actually enabled linux apps vs those who just use Chrome
