Taking the stance that voting alone isn’t enough and that we need direct action like the Labor, Civil Rights, and Women’s Suffrage movements to accomplish change isn’t the Right side of the aisle.

The folks who insist that electoralism will save us are misguided.

That said, as someone who votes down ballot anyways I’m going to vote for the farthest left candidate that can win. I can’t find a compelling reason not to vote as a leftist. Then again, I can do it absentee in my state and my polling place doesn’t have huge lines.

The willful ignorant who were given plenty of notice and free access and chose otherwise? Specifically the arrogant people like that? They deserve the consequences of their choices, yes.

When it’s self-selected death by hateful people who dehumanize others I don’t have a problem with it.

Good to see more people are understanding how anti-consumer our digital distribution laws are. Sucks they had to find out this way, but people have been warning of this for years.

We as a people, and specifically the commenters who insist these are the only options, are consciously choosing between the two paths that lead to genocide. We are specifically saying we are too comfortable and indifferent to demand the changes to prevent it.

They already do. The important difference between then and now is he won’t be around to keep making up nonsense.

Anyone insisting that the only way to move forward is to vote for someone who is promoting genocide is effectively saying that, yes.

I did look at that and I wanted to try it out, but they don’t even have a free trial, which is unfortunate. Part of the reason I used duolingo was because I am hoping to get the basics for free so I can see if I’m actually learning.

That people need to start by stopping this “only voting matters” narrative that so many push. I know people try to counter that by saying that people are overworked and don’t have time for protests or any other direct action, but the Labor Movement was done by people working 70ish hour weeks.

More people need to be willing to protest. Until they are, things aren’t going to meaningfully get better.

Right now, the message I get from a lot of these conversations here is that the President is allowed to have a little genocide as a treat because otherwise there could be more genocide. It’s completely insane.
