Quick SSL shave with a red yaqi synthetic.
Probably last shave with the Durham as it was pretty tuggy first pass
SSL - it’s the next tub closest to kill and I’ve managed to snag a replacement on 20.1 base so a good candidate to bring some summery vibes into autumn.
Firstly. You’re right face lather is best lather. That means for samples it’s about how to load so you can face lather properly.
DJ and Walden make good points but my tuppence is the most important because it has a cheese based bonus.
You see the lid from another tub will workbut what works just as well is the little ceramic dish that comes with baked Camembert. It’s a good size, and the glazed ceramic is nice and smooth and easy to load from. Plus you get the added benefit of having to eat a baked Camembert to get one.
Much thanking to MR butts for enabling me to join in for my first buena vista shaving club
Decent lather and a nice light floral that teminded me that I don’t mind florals but also that they’re not my favourite scents. What I do like is the euro scent strength. Not overpowering as some us scents can be but neither do they fade quickly.
Durham shave 2 is an improvement on shave 1. Going to see how many shaves I can get before I give up and go back to a beloved OC
SSL
Again and again and again.
Given I’ve not mentioned the set up here I probably should. I’m pretty much exclusively using my red zenith 27mm boat. It’s got a nice hot loft so has that floppiness that I like. Not too much but not too little (my only heerlf with the moar is the splay). Still it’s not as good as the SOC was when it died. I’m hoping it will get there.
Razor is the NEW. I like the vintage open combs as I shave every few days and nowt beats them. I tend to rotate through them swapping when the blade feels ready to toss.
Blaze is a random selection. Don’t know ehat
Deja vu.
Still not dead yet
Didn’t have time to old hiker up my samples so back to the SSL kill. A bit of dedication and shaving more than once a week and I could probably kill it before Christmas
