The only story that pops up is a pipeline rupture in Satartia, Mississippi. No fatalities, 46 people hospitalized. Maybe OP is misremembering?

Last year, a pipeline carrying compressed carbon dioxide mixed with hydrogen sulfide ruptured, engulfing the small town of Satartia, Mississippi, in a green haze, leaving many residents convulsing, confused, or unconscious.

Well this is a nightmare. In the moment, I’m not sure what I would do to protect my family
