I don’t know if you’ve heard of the EXCELLENT web app for lemmy over at https://WefWef.app

Not that I don’t trust WefWef or their team! But now users of thelemmy.club can use WefWef knowing their credentials and data never leave their own instance. Check it out at https://app.thelemmy.club

Oh, I just learned about wefwef earlier today and was in a similar thought about my credentials going through another server, it’d be a better idea to selfhost it since I already have my lemmy instance.

Although most probable the site is just a server of a webpage and your credentials will only go through your browser and directly to your instance, like how any mobile app works.

Oh by no means do I think WefWef is stealing your data. I just know a lot of people don’t like the idea that it’s possible.
