I am saying that celebrity worship, or more generally, worship of people who one deems “above” oneself, is a very problematic aspect of all East Asian cultures which are influenced by Confucianism, and by the fact that they shed feudalism not as long ago as for example Western European societies. And I don’t understand the need to use that kind of gutter vocabulary. Doesn’t exactly make you seem very educated.

and Confucianism has NOTHING to do with celebrity worship. it’s about deference. it’s your “”“THE WEST”“” and the way they idolize god and prophets that are the true celebrity worship cultures
