Which part are you referring to exactly? The world did view apartheid in that manner, no argument there. History says these men were on the wrong side. Although the military and political landscape is quite vast. Let’s for argument’s sake say what one person’s experience was true, that he farmed in Namibia for the SADF in attempts to win hearts and minds, did his mandatory service automatically make him a racist? Surely not. As long as targets were military most of the time and in line with the greater goals of keeping communist states disorganized and supporting indigenous resistance, it would be quite hard to label military motives as racist.
