if people decide they don’t want to sit around to see how bad it gets, I think that should be up to them. I know this is what I’m considering.

Then you should run, or hide, or fight. Giving republicans exactly what they want isn’t an option that leads to anything other than our eradication. Please, never, ever kill yourself 💖🌸💖🌸💖

On a more practical note, as a multiple-suicide-attempt survivor, I can assure anyone here that surviving a suicide attempt fucking sucks. No method is 100%, no matter how hard you try, and you come away with physical and mental scars. If skipping a suicide attempt is at all an option, you absolutely should skip it.
