The weirdest thing that I have confirmed to be true is that the DPRK does actually ban jeans but it’s for cultural reasons, older people hated jeans and called for their ban
iirc it’s specifically blue jeans, and black jeans are fine (and in fact produced in the DPRK). idk for sure though.
