Nintendo: Spending money to stop piracy, instead of making money by selling most of the things people are pirating (whether it be classic games not available for sale anywhere, or not porting Switch games to PC despite a huge demand for it).

Itโ€™s an excuse for the profit line not going up and a desperate squeeze for a few more dollars in profit for their quarterly that they hope their investors donโ€™t realize cost more to fight than made so that the cash keeps rolling in.

This kind of tactic of over punishing the poor relies on the stupidity of the wealthy. I donโ€™t get how they donโ€™t see it as insulting.
