Genuinely curious: how common are security teams for high level executives? This is the only CEO I can recall ever being murdered so itβs not like the threat has been very large (until now maybe)

In Germany 1977 the RAF killed JΓΌrgen Ponto the director of Dresdner Bank and later Hanns Martin Schleyer, chairman of the German Employersβ Association. In 1989 they also killed the chairman of Deutsche Bank Alfred Herrhausen. However, they also did all sorts of other questionable shit including attacking US outposts. Absolute maniacs, IMO.
