Well, except the guy came from a well-off family and had a good higher education. Not really a “lower-class” type, but certainly someone who could be rallied behind.

There is no middle or lower class. He worked for a living and was thus working class.

Well not anymore there’s not! That’s a huge problem too.

There hasn’t been a middle since the old middle class became today’s upper class, replacing the aristocracy. Since then, “middle class” is just an attempt to pit the working class against one another.
