Decreasing birthrates are a good thing. You can’t have unlimited growth

They are definitely not inherently good or bad it depends on the place, but if there is 1 child born per 2 parents in the country, that means the country given enough time will pretty rapidly shrink, unless they change something about people not wanting to have kids or allow immigration
