Noonan talks about player sales, CPL expansion, pro/rel, growth of League1, and a few other things.

Kelowna & Windsor are front runners for 2026 expansion, but Kingston is a strong possibility.

As much as I understanding building more clubs in southern Ontario and BC is good for the league and football in the country in general. I so desperately want to see a team in Moncton purely for away day banter.

Moncton would be fun, and is likely the only other option in the Atlantic. Newfoundland could perhaps manage something in St. John’s, but travel is always a big issue.

I think we’ll see more of a Halifax - Moncton rivalry materialize in League1 Atlantic, with an eventual upgrade to bring the rivalry to the top tier once a club has more solid footing.

The real shame is the continued absence of any side in Quebec. Montreal and Quebec City are necessary additions to the league, and the fact that they aren’t top-2 for 2026 remains concerning.
