I can visualize the entire plumbing system of a house in my head and I can build, rotate and disassemble 3D objects in my mind but for some reason I simply cannot figure out how electricity works. I’ve watched every single “electricity for dummies/visual learners” video on youtube and none of it makes a difference. I’ve just accepted I’ll never be able to understand electricity.

It’s just like water; that’s why power lines are so high up. It prefers flowing downhill. That’s also why outlets have two sockets. One is for the device that needs power more (the bottom one). The top one goes out first in a brown out.

Honestly though, thinking of circuits like water in pipes does get you quite a long way.
