I tried running a 2nd instance of Roblox simultaneously on macos 15 with another account but this shows up, if my mac can handle it then why can’t it just let me do it? If I have two copies of an app like Roblox in separate User/Applications folders, macos moves them to the /Applications/ folder.

Sometimes it won’t run apps claiming to be corrupted, so I then have to do sudo xattr -cr /Applications/someapp.app in the terminal and they run perfectly fine. It always nags me if I download apps from anywhere but mac app store. Some of these messages can only be gotten rid of by disabling system integrity protection, but then macos blocks you from running MAS apps due to having “permissive security”.

I don’t daily drive macOS anymore, I switched to Linux on my M1 mac where I can do whatever the hell I want.

You shouldn’t play Roblox.

Honestly, instead of playing shitty clones of games made with child labor through roblox, just play the original games they’re cloning.

Couple of weeks ago I was at a friends place for dinner and the son was playing Roblox. Everyone in the room except him knew he was playing a WoW clone. His dad even told him, “you know I’ll buy you a subscription if you wanna play the real game instead of a shitty clone”

Don’t play Roblox. Its just cheap imitations made with child labor.

I guess underaged people can’t earn money because it will be child labour… 🤦

Roblox isn’t only about “shitty clones”. Just let people play whatever they want. Just let passionate underaged devs gain money instead of companies.

At minimum, the Roblox company is taking advantage of children by:

  • Taking a large cut of the revenue and obfuscating that information
  • Devs are paid in Robux and the conversion to real currency involves an unfavorable exchange rate with a high minimum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
