I think the headlines a little sensational. Undercover cop gets into a real committed relationship for 19 years and when they’re about to get married reveals he’s been an undercover cop. Hilarity ensues. The relationship seems genuine

Surely lying to your partner for 19 years is fine. The relationship is actually extra healthy, because of all the practice lying.
