potatoes definitely do rot and the smell is so horrific it can only be the results of failed potato genetics

Yea, I have a pretty bad sense of smell and that’s one of the few things I can instantly recognize. Gotta play find the squishy potato when I smell it.

The green dust is also toxic to breathe in.

I recently had the pleasure of shoveling a rotting bag of potatoes out of my pantry. Likely the worst smell I have ever witnessed, nothing compares.
