Ah, obviously it would be something metal. Metal bands are just so damn funny
just the Petrodragonic Apocalypse and Infest the Rats’ Nest albums are metal, but their catalogue includes microtonal music, garage rock, prog rock, synth pop, boogie, electronic music, rap, jazz, and more. If you are interested, the album called Omnium Gatherum dives into various genres.
Don’t forget folk ballad (eyes like the sky) (not sure that’s the official genre but it’s the best i can think of)
they aren’t just metal though, emphasis on the ‘progressive.’ they are incredibly prolific and bend genres
