Growing up, the amount of Lego and Shell sets that were around was astounding. And apparently, ExxonMobil did a few brand deals with them as well.

Trying to make gas stations(fossil fuels)cool isn’t anything new. The number of toys branded with oil companies is staggering.

Did they make something like gas trucks and gas stations? Or was it just the sponsors on the little race car sets? The race cars make sense, but if there were people building Lego gas stations, oil rigs and stuff thats wild

Yes multiple gas stations, car washes, tankers, and as a sponsor for Ferrari race cars. Similar deals with Exxon and Esso.
Since the 90s it’s all their fictional Octan brand instead
