There are basically no communist news sources with global coverage. I would consider a news source to be one that employs journalists to do directly do reporting and journalism on site. I would consider a communist news source to be one by and for communists (and also for anyone a bit sympathetic).

We have the other combinations:

  • Media by and for commies but without journalists.

  • News not by commies but with journalists.

  • News by communist states that orient their news towards liberals.

  • News by commies with journalism but targeted internally, e.g. Cuba

As a result, I’ll second the comrade that says to consume capitalist news with commie glasses on. Acquiring commie glasses is facilitated by learning the tropes essential to media criticism and propaganda.

Marx and Lenin primarily quoted trade magazines and publications like the Economist because they have a very clear viewpoint. One that once you understand the underlying class perspectives makes it a good source because they will honestly just say things how they are.
