Oh man, the SGIs are so expensive nowadays. I always thought it would be awesome to replicate Nedry’s setup from Jurassic Park but it would be like $10k in retro gear right now.

The MacBook and Amiga are pretty attainable goals still. Those early MacBooks were really hot stuff when they came out.

I am still considering taking an SGI Indy case and using it with a complete mini-PC inside. The thing I never did was look to see if the startup sound was admitted from the motherboard or if it’s some external device inside the case. I would definitely want the startup sound :)
