I’m in the beginning stages of planning a trip this winter to see the northern lights. The days are getting real short and I’d love to take advantage of that.

I’m currently in southern Ontario and would like to head north a bit to get away from all the light pollution. I’ll also be travelling alone so heading off to a park is probably not a wise decision for myself. Also, since I’m going alone, I’d prefer staying at a hostel where I have a chance to meet people but that’s not a strict requirement. I know hostels are not a big thing here.

Any information, tips or experiences to share would be greatly appreciated.

Can I ask how you got to Churchill? It’s a trip I’ve always wanted to do but I’m not sure of the best way to get there.

I believe the only way tot get there is to fly. There was a rail track but I’m not sure what shape it’s in.

I’m sorry, but it was a friend who took the trip. I’m not sure what her exact travel plans were.
