Google is going to release new manifest v3. How could it harm uBlock Origin? And will Firefox and Safari become the only major browsers that fully support uBlock Origin?
Chrome is based on Safari (which itself is based on KHTML). They diverged a long time ago, but thereโs still a genetic relationship there. Even if Safari for Windows were still a thing and you were serious instead of trolling, that strategy still wouldnโt be as good as switching to Firefoxโs actually-unrelated codebase.
(Also, the real WTF is using Windows in general.)
Firefox primary revenue is Google as default search engine, i.e. Mozilla sustainability model is unreliable since it depends on a direct competitor. Mozilla, and thus Firefox, is controlled oposition. Safari, on the other hand, has no such issues whatsoever, and has an independent browser engine. Thatโs why I recommend Safari, and everybody here should switch to it, and I recommend you as well.
