How is this a reboot? Isn’t it just a continuation? Reboot implies they’re starting over…
“Reboot: A new direction taken on by a pre-established story or character. Remake: A retelling of a story audiences have seen before, but typically with a difference.”
This is definition of film reboot. I think you’re referring to a software/hardware reboot.

Ooh gotcha, thanks for the reply. I would ask though, is this a reboot by that definition? Doesn’t seem to be taking a new direction.
