Maybe itās a Zoomer thing? I donāt even see the point in Instagram. I had an account for a bit but realised I had nothing to photograph
My Instagram is 100% pictures of animals. Then once in awhile Iāll scroll back and look at all the cute pups Iāve met over the years.
I canāt stand how many ads are on there so I never browse and have no idea how other people use itā¦
Thatās a great idea! I often feed starlings bites of my Greggs baguette. I never thought I could photograph them for Instagram. šš¦
But, like, canāt you just use Google photos or something comparable for that?
I meanā¦ if you never take photos or donāt like looking at them, itās not surprising you donāt have a use for it or pixelfed.
Yes, itās fantastic: https://pixelfed.social

I can lose hours just browsing everyoneās nature photography.
If youāre on iOS, decent apps for it are Tusker and Vernissageā¦ and maybe Mona or Ivory, but they arenāt built for it so the compatibility has a snag here and there.
Tusker uses a traditional Mastodon interface, while Vernissage is minimal-first with a main view of just photos with nothing else.
