Hi all,

I’m seeing a lot of hate for capitalism here, and I’m wondering why that is and what the rationale behind it is. I’m pretty pro-capitalism myself, so I want to see the logic on the other side of the fence.

If this isn’t the right forum for a political/economic discussion-- I’m happy to take this somewhere else.

Cheers!

Look around you – capitalism is literally burning our ecosystem to transfer wealth into the hands of the rich. If you are “pro-capitalism” you are either ignorant of physical reality or you are selfish and think you can “make it” and be one of the tiny minority that actually benefits from the system, to the detriment of almost every other living being on the planet.

It’s not delusional at all. A vast majority of carbon emissions are due to mega corporations. Climate change causes increases in wildfire activity. It’s elementary, really.

I hope you consider the amount of downvotes you received to communicate you should consider this idea and not dismiss it out of hand.

ah, but everyone that clicks on the down arrow (despite the fact that votes mean nothing on this instance) is made aware of the subject matter - it’s like a memetic hazard - a mind virus, if you will.

you’ll remember this comment far longer that you’d like to, I can guarantee it.
