He thought transitioning would help him escape the toxicity of that culture and it didn’t and that’s a tragedy. But he was pressured to be something he’s not, not by “gender ideology,” because that seeks to affirm the rights of individuals to be whomever they want, but by the overbearing traditionalists who wrecked his mental health trying to make him fit into a neat gender confirming role.
