Boomer humor at its most basic. “Them young 'uns think they’re so smart, but they just got schooled…that’s why you gotta respect yer elders!” Right, because unplugging a single node is going to save the network servers. I’ve always took that scene to be way more about not panicking and thus missing the obvious solution than any sort of boomer humor.
