I've noticed that lemmy as a whole is much more leftist than reddit (outside of political servers of course)

I can’t really think of a reason for that as Reddit is hated somewhat equally by “both” sides of the spectrum. It’s just something I find interesting.

No, thanks. I don’t want a balance of normal people and fascist, racist, misogynist, anti-science, xenophobic, homophobic bigots. I just want the normal people.

Pretending that people on the left are racist, misogynist bigots isn’t going to fool anyone. Normal people know “both sides” are not the same.
