https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/14demhj/debunking_proton_and_ciansa_fake_news/

For a while, there have been rumors alleging essentially that Proton Mail or Proton VPN are CIA/NSA honeypots. It’s an incredible claim, and while it’s generally not worth debunking conspiracy theories, this one makes it pretty easy due to how bad the claims are, so let’s do it once and for all. (…)

The one thing you can legitimately criticize Protonmail for is that they make real damn sure to let you know they also offer VPN services for a subscription and whatnot.

Honey pot was explained by imkali.

Glowie means undercover fed/cop. Think it references them standing out so obviously it’s like they are glowing.

smh means so much hate “shaking my head” and is an expression of frustrated anger.

The “glowie” reference is from Terry A. Davis, TempleOS’, uh, esoteric developer.

The quote is “CIA n****** glow in the dark”, government agents have been called glowies ever since.

a honeypot is a service run by feds pretending to be private or something criminals could use and then storing the data and using it to prosecute the criminals later on after farming a bunch of data

here’s an example of a huge honeypot
