This has actually happened to me a couple of times now and I have no idea what the subs the OP’s are talking about. Since they’re assuming everyone else is in the instance and they don’t say the name, it’s just like,

Awww yeah man I’m SO stoked to be here today in this lovely place, I mean can you just believe how niche and small this spot is but wow I just can’t believe this spot that has a name that I just am so bewildered to be in I’m not even going to say it!

Like, of course they wouldn’t, why would they need to they’re there making the post!

But then on my end… it’s PlaidBaron@lemmy.world’s thread inside Random with 4220(lit) subscribers… Just what niche sub are we in?! PlaidBarons?

i found a way to see it. on the post, hover “more”, then click “copy url to fediverse”. it’s edibleweeds@lemmy.world .
