ML is a lot better than Hexbear and Lemmygrad.
On one hand, yes.
On the other hand, that’s a low bar.
I’d argue the .ml stance on the israeli Genocide on Gaza and non censorship of articles debunking Hasbara was a lot more correct than the .world one especially at the start of the Genocide. Even now only mainstream Western outlets are condoned no matter how well sourced articles are.
If the user above posted the same take on .ml he wouldn’t be showered in updoots either. There sure are some outlier users but .ml and Hexbear/Lemmygrad are completely incomparable.

That those comments have half as many downvotes as upvotes doesn’t inspire great confidence. My point stands - ML is much better than Hexbear and Lemmygrad - but that’s not a high point of comparison.
The comment chain is claiming that Russia would be more trigger happy than israel to start WW3 which is a pretty lib take even I wouldn’t agree with. It having downvotes is not strange, though I did not personally downvote them.
But the most important point is that they are not getting censored, banned. Which really dispels the illusion that it’s just a giant tankie fest over there.
The reason most people seem to catch bans from .ml is because they go full lib mode when they see something that conflicts with some WMD propaganda they’ve been consuming for the past 25 years and call anything to the left of them a tankie.
ML is more defined by anti imperialism but doesn’t magically condone it when China or Russia do the imperialism as well. You can find some actual tankies in there but they’re usually swimming in down votes. The average lib that finds out that America hasn’t exactly been the good guys for the past 50+ years just seems to think that everyone criticizing it is a tankie.
Lemmygrad and Hexbear have such an anti West boner that they are often willing to close their eyes and ignore the faults of parties. They are not really comparable.
