A bid to criminalise water companies that fail to tackle sewage has failed.

The Liberal Democrats had proposed an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill that would have created new offences if firms did not do enough to deal with spills.

But the measure failed on Wednesday after Tory MPs voted against and Labour members abstained.

That really dose not sound any better then. OPs “can’t even decide”

Not wanting to enforce a law. Why. Its down to the justice department and EA to enfoce it.

We don’t want to basically means they don’t plan to provide any resources to clean up our water but just plan to win the election based on how shit tories are. Without commiting to doing anything better.
