People who are still on Reddit, are like people who are still on X.

No I don’t mean twitter, I mean X the drug. Y’all mother f**ers are on literal drugs I tell you.

I spent the last of my time over there making sure Reddit moderators knew what I thought of them

Wait you were mad when the subs went dark or mad at the reddit admins. The mods aren’t the issue over there(well not all of them).

oh this wasn’t anything to do with the API debacle. it’s just that if I had to interact with a moderator, and they were an incompetent asshole, I would like screenshot and highlight their own rules proving that they were just making shit up because they liked having authority. the best is if they also have a Discord server, because if I ever own any of them really well I can post screenshots in the Discord. Discord moderators love shitting on the Reddit moderators with me

As soon as lemmy has a larger user base (or boost dies for good) I’ll kick it. There are so many communities on Reddit that don’t exist here, even though lemmy is obviously better.

That’s why I posted a log about my 3D printer repair in /c/3DPrinting earlier - because I want to put the content here that starts to show up in google searches.

Yeah, I do the same on the occasion that I post. Doesn’t solve the problem, at least hasn’t yet.

There are a ton of specific communities on Reddit that don’t really exist anywhere else. Like, Lemmy is fine if all you want is anarcho-socialist Linux users but there’s a subreddit for my hometown, some specific weird apps I use, my favorite video games, the machines I use at work, etc. Until Lemmy can branch past just people who use it for ideological reasons it won’t replace Reddit.

As long as people with specific interests insist on going back to reddit though, it won’t be able to do that. There are some specific video game communities (especially for newer releases like Baldurs Gate 3, Helldivers, etc) btw
