Just checked out the lemmy version of r/place. On there, on people profiles, and many lemmy communities are devoted to my little pony and various other childish cartoon stuff. Im mostly out of the loop. I read an article a while back about a website that was an alt-right thing that used childish speech and my little pony imagery. Is this what this is? Is it a fetish thing? What is the reason for the prevalence of childish cartoonish imagery on the internet in places most likely inhabited by adults? Dead serious question by someone out of the loop.
