Hereā€™s the dinner report after the husbandā€™s folks came for dinner.

So it mostly went to plan. After dinner and I had cleaned up I sat down to do some needle work but bro was bored and heā€™d been very sick, just came out of hospital, so I took pity on him. After he insulted me just a little and I pushed back a little I asked him if he reads audiobooks, as that may be an easy way for him to do an interesting activity. He said they always send him to sleep. My radar immediately pinged real loud, Iā€™m always on the alert for when he or others talk about their experience in cults. I went on to explain that the books he was listening to were designed to relax him and even send to him sleep. I explained how the tapes were relaxing, why the makers of the tapes did that and how those books differ to regular audio recordings of regular novels and nonfiction books. I never once used a value judgement or trigger word. I never mentioned the cult nor any people in the cult, I kept it fact based and impersonal. He listened with interest and very intently.

Iā€™m a very good cult deprogrammer.

@Seagoon_ Wifey is trying to claim that itā€™s really not that uncommon to mix Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes, Nutra Grain, and Weet Bix together. And to eat this particular cereal combo for dinner.

Iā€™m not doubting herā€¦ I just havenā€™t come across this combo before.

Anyone else here mix three different breakfast cereals?

A cereal dinner is the dinner you have when you canā€™t decide on what to have for dinner.

Every time I get to have a hotel buffet breakfast. I go from 45 to 8 in an instant.

@calhoon2005 Haha Any kind of buffet or all-you-can-eat situation doesnā€™t count!

@ajsadauskas @Seagoon_ My kids have acquired the habit of multiple cereals from my father-in-law.

I just canā€™t. Sensory horror in a bowl.

I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever had access to multiple cereals at once.

@ajsadauskas @Seagoon_ Iā€™ve mixed two cereals together when one box is running out. I suppose if you had three that complimented each other itā€™d be fine!

The dinner part is a stretch for me. I could see people doing this, when theyā€™re still in primary school

Trampoline dude wanted to go on a date. I did not. We are not talking anymore. He only wants to talk to me for romantic purposes it seems.

Iā€™m sad to lose what we had. We had a similar music taste and bounced music off of one another. He also played the game I was obsessed with as a child.

Ah yeahā€¦ I hate to say it but often no matter how clearly you communicate, hanging out with guys one on one (or in general) usually still gets taken as more and then you get blamed for ā€˜leading them onā€™ šŸ™„

Makes it difficult to have cross gender friendships

He took a leap of faith, but you were right not to fall for his attempt to bounce into your bed.

Guess his attempts fell flat.

I was confused at first because I interpreted wrong but I donā€™t think itā€™s very romantic for you as all he wanted was a one night stand or you as a f buddy.

Just going to say that ā€œtrampoline dudeā€ is a really cool name. I would not object to being known as trampoline dude.

Well, not now. But a few days ago it would have been a cool thing to be known as.

Just in case youā€™re wondering, there is a Tour de France app to look at while youā€™re watchingā€¦

Years ago, someone did a live feed using Google Earth mixed with the coverage and various graphs on screen and it was the best coverage Iā€™ve seenā€¦
