1password. I’m keeping a close eye on Apple’s own keychain stuff. It sure seems like they’re moving toward a password manager app of sorts. Once that happens, then I’ll probably jump ship from 1password as it’s getting expensive, and I don’t love 1password 8.
Couldn’t agree more with this. 1Password 8 is so bad and frustrating while apples product is looking more and more enticing. Especially with shared passwords.
Slowness (although I have a pre-M series MacBook Pro), the search functionality and the ability to view my different vaults on the side were both tweaked in a way that I feel it requires significantly more time and effort to get to what I need.
Strongbox (KeePass client) on all my devices. Synced via iCloud. Works flawlessly. Supports native password autofill on Mac and iOS, so it works in Safari and everywhere else. No plugins necessary.
I used to use LastPass, but after last year I have switched over to NordPass. Been mostly happy with them especially for sharing passwords in the family.
I switched from lastpass to 1Password shortly after they sold to logmein or whatever. I have lately been eyeing the whole suite offered by https://proton.me
I would entertain the idea of using Apple keychain, but I am really hooked on password sharing with the family. Have not seen a good implementation from Apple yet, but maybe it is on the way (or I missed it!).
