No, no, you don’t understand, she’s actually 2000 years old.
To be fair, in the Anime / Manga itself, the really old man / woman that looks like a child is more played for laughs. It’s the community that sexualizes the character, not the actual show / comic.
Usually. Then there’s fantasy settings with halflings and dwarves and such, but they look more like adult humans with smaller bodies. Finn Deimne from Danmachi coming to mind, as he’s an actual halfling hero and basically the leader of his troop. Has a full sized human woman after him, but I feel like it’s not weird, as they’re both adults. Just adults of different sizes / races.
Someone should come up with an advice list of anime titles that don’t have these things in them. Like this one website that tells you if a movie has a scene in it with a dog dying - same, but for cringey anime stuff.
Spy X Family, if you haven’t seen it yet. Anyone even moderately into anime has, though. It’s one of the few Anime that’s (mostly) family friendly and entertaining for almost anyone of any age and gender.
This is precisely why I literally never look at what anyone else says about an anime I like. If it is ecchi trash that has more boob jiggles than dialog, that is my business. It makes me smile and hurts literally 0 people that it does.
I’m totally fine with stuff like this being out there. It’s just really annoying when authors try to force stuff like this into series that don’t revolve around ecchi.
True. For me the incest in Yosuga no Sora could have been done without. Everything up to the last two episodes was so amazing, but those two just go so dark so fast.
There are other examples, obviously, but that is one that my best friend and I talk about to this day. I suggested it to him after I had watched about 3 episodes and we both independently binged it and the next day kinda had a “what the fuck” conversation.

Komi can’t communicate was enjoyable because
-
Introvert jokes
-
Lighthearted and everything ends in a positive note
-
Najimi
Id watch it with my kids.
Then the weebs went fucking weird and I can never show them that side of the internet.
I started watching it with my kid and we eventually had to turn it off because of the Sports Day episode. It was creepy and uncomfortable.
I really wish it wasn’t so sexualized so we could watch it together, because the message and story itself seemed very nice and light-hearted.
I don’t watch a lot of anime, mainly movies and the occasional popular series. The last one I watched was Heavenly Dilussion, pretty good. But there some scenes of unnecessary grooping or obsession on the girls boobs that are just for comedy, and is something that I found in every serie I have watched (not so much in movies). Is like that in all anime? Or I’m just unlucky to always watch the ones who had that?
