Why are there external fuel tanks on this? Wouldn’t that make it more vulnerable to attack?
Usually these are empty when rolling into battle, they are used to get there in the first place. Tanks aren’t known for great fuel economy and the inside is already cramped, so for cross country travel it’s practical.
All crew survived, which is great to hear. At least the Challenger is getting put to good use in their offensive. Just like every other piece of military equipment, you’re always going to lose some.
