*in China

I wonder what it would sell for without the heavy subsidies from the Chinese government. I read yesterday that BYD opened a dealership in Poland and those cars are selling for $30k-$50k there.

Many other EV manufacturers sell their cars for twice what its priced in China because they can. BYD for instance has a huge profit margin in Europe.

BYD prices based on what it can get away with, its why in thailand, which has a BYD factory to avoid price hikes, sells the Dolphin for ~16000$ when its closer to 14000$ in china. its why countries with less friendly charging networks and import taxes against china like Vietnam have a hard time penetrating said market.

prices of BYD vehicles in china though are usually never the reality for countries outside of china, hence why people tend to have skepticism in article prices for BYD

Is there any EU tariffs imposed on BYD?

Looks like 10% + 17.4% on BYD products which is actually the lowest out of all of them. Tesla/BMW/VW EVs manufactured in China and sold in the EU will be charged 10% + 20.8% for example.
