Most people in capitalist countries never leave the economic bracket they were born into. Capitalism is a primitive system of elites and peasants, filled with squalor and death.

I guess it really is all survival bias. People don’t really get more conservative as they get older. People with more radical politics are more likely to die young.

Radical Politics tend to grow out of deprivation or some other kind of material lack, and unfortunately lacking materially also means you probably don’t get to live all that long.

The idea is you grow more conservative because you want to protect all the wealth you’ve accumulated, so that you can hoard it instead of feeding the hungry of the world.

Doesn’t pan out when no one’s getting wealth, and when sociopathy is found reprehensible.
